IPD exists to support professional learning in GSA and HMC schools. Its activities include the preparation and delivery of a core training programme to meet the needs of staff in nearly 500 schools and the development of other support services for member Heads. IPD is also involved in dialogue with other ISC Associations about professional development and collaborates where appropriate.     Working closely with the Joint Professional Development Sub-Committee, IPD makes a significant contribution to thinking about the future strategic direction of staff professional development/leadership training.
